The Author

Hello, my name is Sandy Kalaora and this is my first travel book.  This adventure was a dream come true, a desire I had all my life.  I felt as if that part of the world was calling me and I had a deep longing to go there.  So, I decided to follow that calling.  This adventure took place in the summer of 2016.  It was like stepping back in time and imagining what it was like to have lived in those ancient and medieval times.  As we traveled throughout, I felt something familiar, as if I knew those places… they felt like home.  I found out through a DNA test that my ancestry is 33% British and 26% Irish.  Need I say more!

This book is full of photographs and history of the places visited.  The black and white photos in the book are in color on this site. 

We went back in the summer of 2017… and so, the story continues… book #2 to follow.
